Imagine your child swinging softly in a blanket or dancing with you around a maypole. Milestones In Music’s Infant class provides a delightful environment unlike any other. Through a unique blend of multi-level activities that includes creative movement, vocal play, object and instrument exploration, and a colorful literature component, your baby's growth and development are stimulated and all of his senses engaged.

Milestones In Music Infant class is for children 3 mo – 18 mo old and incorporates the most current research on early childhood development and provides families a special place for learning and connecting with other parents and babies through music and movement.

This program is offered in three 12-week sessions throughout the academic year – Fall, Winter & Spring Semesters.

We’re a Musical Family!

Bringing children of all ages together for an evening class that provides a dynamic and integrated learning experience for everyone. So we took favorite Milestones In Music songs and activities and rolled them into a fun, family class where each child is welcomed and valued and family “together time” is celebrated and cherished.

Can you sound like an elephant? Or hop like a bunny? Milestones In Music’s Toddler class encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communications skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming and object identification foster language skills. Creative movement to various musical moods develops a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness. Listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills. 

Milestones In Music Toddler classes are designed for children 1 ½ years to 3 years of age. Along with an accompanying parent or caregiver, children meet weekly for a 45-minute class and enjoy singing, moving, listening and interacting socially, and playing simple instruments. Exploration Time encourages a child's discovery of specially designed instruments, textures, sounds and movements; language skills are fostered with singing, sound imitation, and vocal play; Music & Movement Story Time encourages emergent literacy skills; and creative dancing affirms a child's urge to move.  

This program is offered in three 12-week sessions throughout the academic year – Fall, Winter & Spring Semesters.

Preschoolers are ready and able to embark on a musical journey of discovery and exploration -- a journey limited only by the power of imagination. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child's potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality, as well as musical readiness.

Milestones In Music classes are designed for active, energetic, enthusiastic, and imaginative 3- and 4-year-olds and encourage socialization, sharing, and participating in group activities. Singing becomes a focus for enhancing the preschooler's vocal development as her expressive language is just beginning to emerge. Parents are invited to participate in the last 10 minutes for Sharing Time of the 45-minute class. This class is is offered in the Spring and Fall semesters.

Build a Musical Foundation -- Using a small-group approach to music education, Young Musicians provides a pressure-free class where your child can develop a strong musical foundation by learning the concepts, language, notation, and vocabulary of music and its greatest composers. The program is designed to prepare the young child who is eager for first experiences with musical symbols and instrument discovery but is not yet ready for formal lessons and traditional music reading with an instrument.

What musical potential does your child possess?  What instrument interests them the most?  Should you begin piano lessons?  Guitar lessons?  Violin lessons?  Questions, questions?  Your child is born with potential!  But for what instrument?  Why not try several in one class and let the exposure to the glockenspiel, dulcimer or recorder guide their interest to future keyboard, string or wind instrument instruction?  This class will continue to build their internal steady beat, introduce them to beginning music reading skills.

**Level 1 - Introduction to the Glockenspiel and Rhythm Reading
**Level 2 - Learning to play the Glockenspiel and Notation Reading
**Level 3 - Learning to play the 3-string Dulcimer
**Level 4 - Learning to play the Recorder

Designed for children ages 4 through 6 1/2 years, Young Musicians classes meet once a week for 55 minutes. Parents or caregivers are encouraged to attend the last 10 minutes of class the first lesson of each month.

Young Musicians will have two 14-week Semesters in the Fall and Spring.
